Not Quite Right [RL with Kaito (Disguised as Hattori.)]

Kazuha was walking home from the police station. Her father was staying late, so she had offered to bring him a bento for dinner. Now she was heading home, not really having any other plans. She did stop in front of the museum though, looking at all the signs.

"What pretty jewels," she murmured, thinking maybe she should see if anyone wanted to go see it.

-- urk. Now she was really close. And facing him, too. He blinked down at her, trying his best not to follow instinct and pull away.

"Somethin'?" He asked with a sheepish laugh, "I don't know anythin'!"

Kazuha narrowed her eyes. "Oh, you're definitely hiding something," she said. "You're acting all weird."

-- was she getting suspicious? Now was probably a good time to cut their meeting short. The trip wasn't a total waste, even if he didn't get to finish his reconnaissance work.

"I'm not actin' weird, ahou," he said grumpily as he pushed her away (thought not roughly; just enough to free his shoulder and give him some space), "You're the one actin' weird."

Fully expecting her to follow, he turned on his heel to head toward the exit of the museum. "I'm headin' back. You can stay if ya want."

Kazuha's eyes narrowed. She quickly jogged after him. "Ahou! Wait up!"

Crap. How was he supposed to lose her like this? His pace quickened a bit as he neared the exit. He lifted his wrist and glanced at the watch that encircled it, just to add to the illusion of haste

"Crap--! 'M late!" And at that, he broke out into a run, "Sorry, Kazuha! Got somewhere to be! I'll catch you later, alright?"

"H-hey! Ahou! Get back here!" Kazuha shouted and started to run too. "What sort of excuse is that! You never realize you're late until someone calls you five times!"

He flew cleanly through the exit and took the front steps of the museum two at a time.

"I just realized it!" he called back to her as he banked a hard right and dashed down the street, "I'll call ya later!"

"You....AHOU! Get back here!" Kazuha shouted, trying to keep up, but she WAS trying to avoid running into people and 'Hattori' was getting farther away.

As the soonest possible opportunity, Kid ducked into the nearest alleyway.

If Kazuha followed him in, she'd find that he was suddenly and quite unexpectedly no where to be found.

Kazuha did follow him. Certainly one couldn't fault her for being persistent.

Though it was pure stubbornness. She looked around and frowned, crossing her arms. "Just what was all THAT about?!"

From his perch on the roof of one of the buildings flanking the alleyway, Kid watched Kazuha grumpily cross her arms and search the niche for her best friend. Climbing to safety so fast hadn't been easy, and he was practically gasping for breath at this point. The run hadn't been the thing that had tired it out-- it had been the extremely close call.

"Geez..." he grumbled to himself as he pulled Hattori's hat off and wiped his forehead, "She's almost as stubborn as Aoko."

Kazuha eventually turned. "That shou! I'm goingto give him a piece of my mind when I see him," she grumbled. She thought they'd gotten OVER the keeping secrets thing!

... oh yeah. Heiji was definitely going to kill him for this.

He should... probably apologize at the soonest possible convenience.

....why do I see her yelling about Kid the next day after talking to Heiji? I feel sorry for Heiji..

... because she so would. Also, I had movie 14 vibes there for like. a minute

Kid-sama is getting all the ladies~! And she will~! Could now since it's 'tomorrow'...
